San Antonio, Texas is commonly known as home of The Alamo, the birthplace of Texas. San Antonio is currently the 17th most populous city in the United States and is a growing metropolitan between Fort Worth and Dallas.  It also has the highest hispanic population rate of any major city and is rich in Hispanic and Old West heritage.

In addition to the UNESCO site of The Alamo and San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, the town is sprawling with attractions including a beautiful River Walk, San Antonio Botanical Gardens, Tower of the Americas, Brackenridge Park, and Natural Bridge Caverns.

The city boasts plenty of day trip attractions to enjoy in the over 300 average days of sunshine, including Six Flags Fiesta, Sea World, Morgan's Wonderland (an accessible theme park), San Antonio Museum of Art, the Japanese Tea Garden, Fredericksburg, Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch, and the San Antonio Zoo.

The cost of living is slightly below average and the Quarry Market, historic Pearl Brewery district, and the HIstoric Market Square feature fabulous restaurants, boutique shops, and activities like the farmer's market and Fiesta.
